I imagine AA has some type of referral agreement with some brokerages.  And by AA I mean American Airlines and not Alcoholic Anonymous. 

I heard it on the news. How much is 200,000 points?  Can one travel around the world?

They stopped sending me emails - I canceled their cards some years ago. Haven't hear any stories, success or otherwise yet.

That is the first I have seen about that.

Makes sense - real estate is a big ticket item. Lot's of frequent flyer miles to be had :-) I'm sure there are people that would be attracted by such an offer.

At the end of the day, I don't believe miles will drive this kind of decision on the part of a home buyer.

Hey, if you can't afford to pay for an airline ticket, you shouldn't be buying a house!

I can't IMAGINE that airline miles would actually persuade anyone to use their recommended referral agents to buy a house.

This has really been going on a long time with various companies. I'm not concerned about it one bit.

Agents have demonstrated a willingness to forfeit 50% of their compensation for leads. Those relocation companies have a long established history of gouging gullible agents.

That a lot of money to AA for simply capturing leads for REAOLOGY whose agents are compelled to take the hit.

Do the agents get miles as well??

I don't really care.
