My understanding from Bob Stewart a year or two ago was that they are very short staffed there. I know many support issues don't get a reply back (but the work gets done usually). For blog photo issues, I recommend uploading them to photobucket, tumblr or other photo sharing site and then inserting an image link to the photo within your blog.

Some of the possible solutions are already mentioned here.
The issue could be on ActiveRain's side, or yours.
Typically when it's with ActiveRain it's a server issue and that SHOULD mean we'd be hearing wailing and gnashing of teeth in Q&A or in the Facebook groups, and since I'm not seeing that lately, I'm going to go with Plan B and assume it's something on your end.
You may know all of these, you may not, so here goes.
1. Photos over 1 MB in size won't upload. Resize to a smaller size and try again. If you've switched phones or cameras recently you may be shooting to a higher resolution.
2. Certain characters in the file name can cause trouble with uploading, so change filenames to nothing but alphanumeric
3. Do as Ryan Huggins - Thousand Oaks, CA suggested and use a 3rd party host. You can (and I've done this during one of our recent periods when this was a widespread issue) upload to your Wordpress site to create the URL you need, then drop that in to the photo description.
4. As Fred Griffin suggested, clean out your cache/cookies on your browser of choice. That doesn't fix it? Switch browsers. Sometimes Firefox is whacked, but Chrome is cool, or vice versa. And log out and back in, sometimes something is hung up in the code.
5. Change platforms. Trouble on the phone, switch to laptop/desktop/tablet (I've never used my tablet for writing on AR and I think there hasve been ongoing issues with tablets and AR)
6. Reuse a picture you've already uploaded if there is one that is viable for the topic.
7. Send the picture to another Rainer and see if they can upload it. That can help narrow down if it's a system issue or something with the photo.
That's about all I've got.
That, and if you've stuck around this long on AR, now isn't the time to quit. Issues come and go, the help from this community doesn't.

*** Photo and image upload problems are a recurring issue. It may be the browser, or your smartphone vs. using a laptop, or a host of things. The standard suggestion is to first clear your browser using a program like CCleaner, then try again. If that fails, change browsers. If the smartphone isn't getting it done, try a laptop.

I have not experienced a lack of quality or response from AR support. Fred Griffin and Liz and Bill Spear have provided (IMHO) some excellent suggestions as well as encouragement not to quit, i UNDERSTAND tech issues are quite frustrating but the overall value is greater than the occasional pain.
