As needed... sometimes daily, sometimes not for days at a time. Most properties sell so quickly there's no ability to have "weekly" contact. Typically, after listing, there's more contact on all the activities that happen once a contract is signed and inspections take place. I don't believe in contacting just for the sake of saying I did. Most people are busy and they appreciate contact when needed but don't want gratuitous phone calls.

We set expectations at the time of listing and the contact flows accordingly. I have land listings I hold for years. Owner knows marketing plan, what I'm doing and when.
Others want continual updates. That's okay too! It's whatever WE decide.
Some don't want to hear a word unless there's a deal on the table.
(When I'm the seller and you're my listing agent, that's me.)

Like most things in real life(let alone real estate) the answer will vary based on the Individual situation. Communication is discussed (including frequency and method at the onset of the listing).

My commitment is no less than once a week. Reality is, in my hot fast-paced market, it can be every day for awhile ... then it tapers off until we close. Sellers are contacted as needed / when necessary.

A minimum of once per week, or more depending on the activity and situation. I provide them with a weekly update of activity and feedback when I get it.. but that's like pulling teeth.

Well, Praful Thakkar
Many of our listings need to be prepared for the market: paint, flooring, counter tops, etc. We stay in frequent contact with the sellers to make sure they are in the loop as to timing and progress. When on the market, properties usually sell quickly. We give frequent updates re: showings, feedback and hand-holding (by phone or electronically). We know that the biggest, most frequent complaint from clients is regarding poor communication.

I have a rule of a minimum of once a week and encourage them to call or text me anytime, day or night, with questions or concerns. I also thank them often for their trust and faith in choosing to work with me.
