Have to study the issue to offer an opinion.

They will show up later in the process. This may cause some persons to release contingency when they lied and hid under a blanket. No subprime people aren't getting away with not paying child support, judgments or tax liens

I'm afraid I don't know enough to form an opinion. I hope it will be good news.

I don't know enough about this to opine. And I suspect it will still have to be analysed person by person.

I believe lenders are relaxing requirents for mortgage. One of the banks next door never require full loan docs. Yet, they have the lowest default in mortgages in the entire CA. The solution is their customers are of higher quality.

I had not heard of this, but keep in mind, removing it from the credit report does not remove the debt obligation. I am sure that mortgages will still not be approved with public records of debts unless the borrower can confirm that it was paid. The lender HAS to do this due dilligence (checking for public records such as liens) to protect their interest in the home which could end up taking a lower lien position to a tax lien.

It's an interesting experiment. I think it's likely to increase defaults.

Some folks have faith in credit ratings as a sign of character, I am not one of them.

Sounds like a bad idea to me...just gives many marginal people to default again

Better odds of getting pre-approval for a loan. But Underwriters will probably find them during loan processing, and factor them in to whether or not a loan is originated.

I think that it is supposed to help but I have not seen/heard anyone getting help. Makes me think it's a bunch of garbage. Stiff people that really don't need a credit ding for stupid stuff like hospital bills.
SHOULD NOT use a link to your post. Trying to get more readership but this is not the way. Bad ettiquette. If I'm the only one telling you so be it!
