Overall, I'd say yes. I think my MLS does a great job with continuous improvements of new functionalities.

 The only fee increase this year was NAR.  

 MLS is from Paragon.

I wouldn't use the word progressive but the word responsive to the needs of the membership. 

Yes, FMLS is constantly updating and adding new features.

They do a good job, noticed that they signed us up for an interesting online training service this week.  Now to find the time to explore this new benefit.

Yes and yes.  But we also have so many new agents paying into MLS, they have a lot of money to do these upgrades.

It has been for 10 years . . . I don't recall a dues increase in all that time and many features added and improved.
NOW, however, it remains to be seen. The very smart, proactive MLS CEO retired and was replaced by someone I think is also quite good.
BUT we are also about to adopt a new system, and I imagine there will be a dues increase in the foreseeable future!

Our MLS constantly adds new features and benefits without raising prices. They are pretty great actually and really progresive. They just did raise prices at the beginning of the year but that is the first time in as long as I can remember, maybe a decade. And I think part of it was because the MLS members basically demanded that they keep Instanet as an option when are State Association pulled it out from under us and switch to a new program that none of us wanted. The MLS agreed with the members and obliged, but at their cost since IAR pays for the Forms Simplicity. I think our MLS is one of the good ones. -Kasey

Our MLS switched companies that host and manage it. It was like going back in time. Although they ar eimproving still miss some search features we had with the old one. 

Pretty much so. We have a robust MLS system and it's always being tweaked. 

We are changing from Matrix to Navica on April 9th.  The new service will add some features and the price will decrease by 60.00 per year.  We'll see how well it works out    

Yes, I'd say they do a good job of adding features to the MLS.  Recently they removed a ridiculous character cap on the property descriptions.

Yes they are & really good about trying to get us new things to get business. Some of them they eventually take away because the participation is just there. One app I use will now cost $149 for 18 months for market stats.

There are still more in the system. I think it is really great.

The MLS gives a crap about service/maintenance etc not like NAR.

Yes, our MLS adds features and sends emails about the new features and training videos and classes. I like that very much.

They are progressive and seemed to always keep the prices down .Suddenly we merged and the prices went through the roof

Paul ~ Ours are actually going down due to a big merger of MRIS & Trend, along with several more individual Association MLS'.  Basic services have are more robust and they have another tier of pay services for agents that want them.  All in all, a pretty good value.

I'm not sure "progressive" is the term I would use, but yes, we get new features generally a few times a year.

They are very progressive. In the last 20 years there have only been 2 price increases and those were just 2-3 dollars each. We are constantly looking at ways to enhance service, provide benefits and make an agent's job easier.

I am a director and if I hear a good idea somewhere I share it with the board. They added Chat to their customer service profile from a suggestion I made last year. Now almost a third of all inquiries are handled through the Chat tool. More good things are in the works.

As a rule, MLS systems are mostly archaic and/or mediocre. One of the issues is that members won't pay for outstanding and anythig that says dues increase is considered dictatorial. RIP, the present real estate industry.

I use Bright MLS/MRIS and I find it to be very useful, easy to use, has depth and maintains consistent pricing.

We don't have dues increasing much. I can't say we are or we aren't progressive, but they are looking at ways to "improve" the MLS. I really wish they would differentiate between Condo, Garden/Patio Homes, & Townhouse style properties, but not yet.

As someone who comes to real estate after owning several digital companies - I would not say our MLS is progressive.  They do link to some progressive tools provided by outsiders, but the interface is clunky and the technology it is developed in is not state of the art.  Does it work - absolutely, but it is far from elegant or user-friendly.

Some realtors now search public version and skip that membership.....

Over all I would give the MLS a 6-7 out of 10 here in N. Virginia market

We are lucky, they do not add but I  just got my bill yesterday and they increase it 1.50

It seems like we do get upgrades pretty frequently, and no price increase.

They do add features all the time, but now they changed billing to bill upfront for many months, so that's like a hidden price hike.
