I do not fear it but I know it can, and does, happen. 

I save the html code in notepad in case the update wonks out the formatting. It's a jungle out there 

Sometimes formatting in AR drives me crazy and I don't really want to spend the whole day just to format.  If the format isn't that messed up I would just post it and move on.  We have too much to do.

YES! I have, and don't touch it unless you need to! It's a good post! I especially loved the veiled 'REAL ESTATE RELATED Qs' part! 

No, generally the Tx button will get rid of the offensive text and allow us to fix it up.

 I have resorted to writing a diclaimer stating "ANy format and font snafu's are caused by the Active Rain System. When published this blog was PERFECT."

You can always correct the format even though the process can be painful at times.

Congrats on the feature!  Unless I have an error that needs fixing, I never go back and edit.

That is so true, once you start working on updating, the format does go wonky.  

Congrats on feature! Just go for it, maybe if it changes you'll find something more appealing that works, but it should stay.

I have not had that fear.  I know that I can copy it outside of Active Rain, make the changes and come back into Active Rain.

No I rarely update a post after it's been published but if I did, I wouldn't worry about doing so.

Sometimes the change of browser makes the difference!

typically the only time I've experience that if I have updated something really old to refresh it or update a link.  Which reminds me I have some link updating to do.

Yep! Had a few very frustrating format times with blogs, and completely lost some.

Now, I have developed a technique where I 'launder' the text via Notepad to 'cleanse' any hidden codes. Cut and paste from Notepad into AR.

I also switched to MS Edge as a browser for AR. Seems to work better.

I really don't worry too much about that. What will be, will be and I can't worry or predict when it will happen.

Yes, the downward spiral we fondly call AR has been a challenge the last couple days to format posts...I had issues Sunday too.

This used to be incredibly frustrating - thankfully, with a little research (and past assistance from you yourself Fred Griffin), we have been able to transcend and resolve formatting challenges. Thanks, again!  - Tim

I type my post in Komposer and transfer the source code over. I thought that would solve all problems but it doesn't. Things still get wanky all the time.

I chuckle when I see posts that are all mis-formatted because I know exactly what's happened.

All the time. And those gremlins ruin my format even when I'm not updating anything. It's terribly frustrating... every post I do has to be edited and re-edited for format 4-6 times before it holds.

No but if you go back 5 years or so then the answer is YES. I don't have any problems because most of the time I just mess with the HTML. Just faster all the way around. Don't change fonts either.

Fred Griffin The only suggestion I have is to update your post in HTML and post the source code. This should save the formatting.

Yep it's happened a number of times and you just never know when it might happen. Things have been good recently for me but...and I have had to start from scratch a few times.

Congratulations for the feature.  And I keep tweaking until I am satisfield that the look and feel of the post represents us.  There are been times, when I deleted the post, took all the formatting out of my document, and began again.  A

I've not had a problem, however, saving the html code just makes good sense.  Thanks Kathleen Daniels -- Great Advice!
