People are always buying and selling. And they always work around the kids in my experience. Sometimes I did not want too!

It has been a long time since I thought much about school vacations, the last graduated from college about 6 years ago.

It is a good time for these families to be selecting their next home.

Most families with school children tend to leave town, either to go south to the sun or skiing. Relo's might find it a convenient time to look for a home.

My desk is HOPPING!  I don't think it has anything to do with Feb break though.   I have one HS student impacted by this schedule -- i'm trying to carve out some quality time with her but otherwise it's business as usual.

School Vacation Week? My kids have President's Day off, but that's it. I have small kids, one in first grade with just Monday off (school tomorrow and the rest of the week) and another in Preschool who doesn't go to school on Monday anyway, so today was work as usual actually. Our kids know mom and dad work from home and are real estate brokers. -Kasey

My little ones are grown now and I will be working during spring break. In fact, I have relocation buyers coming to town X 2 that week so, there will be no spring break for me...YET!

School is still in session here as far as I know.  Maybe only 1 day off for President's Day.  No impact here.  There is a slowness when school gets out for the summer, but after two weeks it's back to normal.

Our spring break is at the end of MArch and it never ceases to amaze me at how many of the local population leave town. Realtors leave too so there is more business for us that stay behind.

There is always someone looking to make a purchase! Just need to be there ready to help and be of service!

Your question puzzles me.

My answer is that the only vacation period that affects our real estate market is end of the year…Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day. That is a slow period in which many home sellers and buyers are distracted by the season.

My vacation? I mostly vacation where cell phone and wireless internet access are available and I work as needed.

That's a no and a not. 

   Tallahassee is in Florida, but we are not a tourist destination.  The locals here leave town on 3 day weekends, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, 4th of July.  It gets real peaceful.

   Our small kids became big kids, aka adults.   Grown and on their own.

MA vacation is this week, NH vacation is next week. The last 3 days I was busy with lots of MA buyers looking for a NH home or second home even. Next week, I make my escape South

No small children for decades.....now great grandmother....

Locals might leave town when school is out; relocating families come to town to look when school is out. My youngest kid is a 19 year-old granddaughter in college in Denver... no, I am not off. And schools are open here.

Everyday offers another unique opportunity.  Vacation time allows some people a better opportunity to see homes.

Many agents here take that week off.
