That Norton guy can be a real pain, I fired him from my computer and hired another security firm.

Sorry, I haven't been a fan of Norton AV since Peter Norton stopped being in charge of it. Used to be one of the best ones out there in the 90s, then he sold it and it became very bloated. Symantec's corporate version is better, but we can't buy that as regular folk. I'd stay away from Norton, McAfee and Kapersky.

Long ago I chose to eliminate Symatec products from my 'puters.
They are way too invasive and establish a big footprint. Then, they make it really hard to remove.
My suggestion, USE the FREE VPN feature that come with Win10, use the MS provided security suite and it will be blue sky sailing there after.
You will find most software intended to protect your 'puter are not friendly to legacy systems like AR and TP. I wonder how many leads Norton has kept from you?

Put an exception to Activerain. It might spot a comment box as a pop up & you have the pop up blocker on. Shut off Norton & investigate another software option.

I am trying to kill off the McAfee that came installed on this computer. As soon as I bury him, I will help you take out Norton.
Suggest instead: Super AntiSpyware
