No pets, no people, no dirty dishes, no trash, this is not rocket science.
And no taxidermy. I'm not anti hunting but keep the stuffed critter heads out of there.

There is whole bunch more going on in this picture besides the dog/cat that also shouldn't be there. 

I'm a huge fur-baby lover but, don't think they belong in real estate photos. Sellers are selling the HOUSE/PROPERTY, not the pets!

You're right, I do believe horses are another story though.

Farm animals would be okay but skip the birds, cats, dogs, etc.

I will watch for the animals in your photographs.

I'm going with it's best not to have animals, even dead ones on the wall, in your posting pictures. There have been a few times where I could not get rid of one without upsetting the owner so I am not totally "sin free" in this department Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 

Love my pets & other peoples but we ask them to stay out of the property photos. We look to keep the focus on the property. 

Suggestions to seller is not to have anything that looks like a pet laying around. Get rid of that giant dog bed that looks like a trampoline.

I was in a house 2 weeks ago & the dog bed was 5' x 5'.  It had it's own giant corner in the master.

This house has more issues than a picture of a cat or dog...how about the head of a dead animal? Noneo f that shoud be in professional photos.

I remove all pets from real estate photos. I am selling the house not the pets.

Animal heads on the wall are a pet peeve of mine.

Does that include the Deer mount? Could someone be allergic to that?  Curious!

    Hamster running on a wheel is a distraction.  Go with something more relaxing, like a goldfish in a bowl.

Photos which show lifestyle are wonderful when they contain animals. But animals in the house on the sofa may be a big turn off for some.

Cats bother my wife's alergies, but those in the photos seldom bother her.

Good that you included the deer in your Maine photo, those are important for showing the quality of the ground for growing wildlife.

I go by no pets in photos, i can see if it is a farm, but not for any other home. 

There is much to do and consider to all agents 

That would be a major red flag for the buyer!

To answer your question... top producer in my office and the pet lovers remember me. But in photos of the home, no.

I think for houses having animals in the photos, and on the walls, is il-advised. But it might make sense if you are selling a farm.

Sellers need to realize that allergies aside, many people will find dead animals mounted or otherwise to be a big turn off.   As for the live pets, seller disclosures indicate if animals reside in the home.  Should they be in the photos?   Not my photos!

For a farm listing, you are right, farm animals may be good.  I have had deer photos for rural listings, but no dogs/cats/birds.....

Not just clients, agents are often allergic too. We do not disclosure small pets, unless they are not friendly. But I would assume that most households have some kind of pet living there. 

 No pets in photos, unless it's an equestrian photo or something similar - chicken farm?  Otherwise, no.

I really try to not have the pets in the photos, but have had them just be there... tried to shoo away a large cat, and almost lost a my hand... and come to think about it, I had an elderly client one time who wanted to pose in each room (reading a book in den, pretending to wash dishes in kitchen, and even held the shower door open like she was getting ready for shower)... I just did not have the heart to not take the photos for her..took the ones for the listing as she "prepared" for the next room and her pose

This photo was taken from the dock of one of my listings.  The buyers of that house love nature and called because they wanted to know if the photo was from the property. They were trilled when I told them I fed those ducks right from the dock.

I've also taken photos of dogs running across the yard wet with water splashing off them right out of the lake.  We have an abundance of pet owners and it's just never bothered me to see pets in photos. It wouldn't stop me from buying or wanting to see a house.

I have included horses when possible. I don't usually include any animals that aren't pertinent to the property.

In California, we have a commonly used disclosure form that the seller completes. This disclosure contains several questions about the presence of pets on the property. Buyers need to know what they are getting into with the house where pets have lived or they need to find another property.

A horse farm listing can include photos of horses, but the rest should not be included!

Folks SHOULD announce their distortions by including pets, critter and fetishes and hobbies in the professional and marketing photos.

Be sure to include the kids and causes also.

It is a GOOD and preferred way to attract like minded people.

What if my buyer is allergic? I'll will suggest, "New construction is booming here. You'll need to bump up your purchase limit." Otherwise, they know what they must do rehabilitate a house AND be ready to act when the ONE that is sterile is found.

When that 1963 constructed house shows up on the list and you ask, "Havs there ever been pets?" what value can you place on the agents response of "No."  

Including Gary the Great Dane in the family room picture should pre-empt silly questions that can only be answered, "who knows?"
