In our area, especially gated communities, these often take drivers to a location where they can not access the property.  I think giving implicit directions is important and if one of these takes them to the wrong entrance location - out it in all caps.

Yeah, I only give directions a few blocks out.  Usually starts with "Get to X street, then go North on Y street."  I used the "Use GPS" directions the first time because, let's face it, no one is reading the directions any more.  Got shot down.

Unless the place is rural and hard to find, I think maps, waze are perfect entries. (Although I always in put the 2-3 nearest turns. )
