        The Federal Government will use Eminent Domain to buy up properties along the USA/Mexico border, so that they can build The Wall.

    A number of houses will come on the market in the Washington, DC area... specifically, the houses of several high-ranking corrupt FBI agents who will be going to prison for many years.

   There will be an increased number of houses for sale in Hollywood, as all those actors and actresses make good on their promise to "Move to Canada if Trump gets elected!"

    The multi-million dollar lot that Obama has under contract in Martha's Vineyard will be back-on-market, as he flees to the $5M  house that he bought in non-extradition treaty nation Dubai.

    Prices in 3rd world sh-t holes will remain in the toilet.

    And real estate in North Korea will be really hot... as in nuclear blast hot.

I'm almost certain that the Tax Reform Bill, which has already been analyzed in terms of it's impact on the real estate industry, will be mentioned (if not discussed in great detail) throughout both the SOTU and subsequent responses/reactions (from both sides of the aisle). - Tim

I really don't think it'll have any effect on real estate.  People who hate the president will spin whatever he says as doom, gloom and hateful.  People who are fans of the president will continue to be fans.

Not the State of the Union, but the changes we are seeing are similar to those we saw during the last boom - many new agents and new brokerages all fighting for the top producers through discounting splits.  Not a business model that can survive a recession.

I don't think I'm going to see a change in my local market. I don't have a TV subscription service, or I would be watching. I could stream it, but I'm a bit late at implementing that idea. Instead I'm on AR.

Furthermore, the damage has already been done to our area, with the tax increase.  Yes, it's a tax increase in our area and is especially for home owners.  Ironically, renters aren't hurt as much by the increase.

I am so tired of the big divide between people, the economy for now seems stable but only time will tell!

Supply & demand is normal and not manipulated. Interest rates are low. Jobs mean income. Income means savings and down payments. Lower product should take-off, trade-up market is coming back and rentals are an excellent investment. Go Trump!
