With all the two major disasters we have been through the first in December with the fire, and the second this month with mudslides, it is uncertain what is going to happen to prices. let alone all those escrows that are on hold.  A

As of December 2017 our average sale price was up 5.8% YTD, but up 8.4% for the month of December year over year.

We were near the top at 5.8% here in Charlotte. It's a strong sellers market with right at a 2-month inventory level. 

Definitely up although it varies from neighborhood to neighborhood.

Home prices are rising in our area.

Up. Up. And Away.  List price (supported by market comps) $725,000. Sold for $810,000.  

List price (supported by market comps) $850,000. Sold for over $1M. 

Prices are up and inventory is still low. I think we are going to continue to see prices go up.

Our market is going up steadily especially in the lower priced homes.

Have one seller who bought it 15 months ago.  He wants +30% return. A new (1 year old ) KB SFH ...  Rating 4 schools.  Wish me luck this weekend....

our prices are up, and with our extreme lack of inventory, buyers are continuing to pay beyond list price....

Definitely an increase over last year. 

Denver's stats for December said 12.3% up from last year.

They are up but not evenly. Some areas have recovered, others have not. Another broad brush painted in this survey. It's a good report don't get me wrong but it makes consumers think it's consistant which it's not.

My area was 10-15% up and maybe even more

They've been going down and expected to decrease further given new tax laws.  In my area, it turns out that 60% of people will be seeing a tax increase.  Yes, an increase.  And, homeowners are hit harder than renters, ironically.

However, if our governor can make some changes (which would reduce the amt the federal government will be able to claim from NY), it may mitigate some of this.
