Easy, if I solicit them, I listen. If they solicit me: I hit spam, unsubscribe, block call and delete.

Jordan,
I keep my mind open and listen. Sometimes one learns something, and sometimes one does not. We are also courteous and realize that like us they are working to make a living. And when they do not want to hear NO, we hang up. A

I am in sales, so I won't bash salespeople. Having said that, I know how to politely say, "No, thank you" and terminate a call, or delete an email without opening it.

I've learned over the years to just not sift. I just say no, thank you. If what I am doing is working, then I likely don't need what anyone is selling me.

When PT Barnum said "a fool and his money are soon parted" he was thinking of Realtors! You'd be surprised what people throw money at (and how much) in the hopes of a deal. Just look at the thousands people spend monthly on zillow leads.
Personally, if it's for nick-knacks I delete and block them. If it's for some marketing service, I look at their demo and figure out how I can do the same thing for free (or much, much less). If it's something I requested info on, they get my full attention.

If I have the time, I listen to their pitches- some of them are great salesman and I learn from their rhetoric. It's certainly overwhelming I read somewhere recently that are 5 times the amount of people trying to sell to real estate professionals as there are real estate professional themselves.

I feel the same way, Jordan! I'm a big researcher so, quick decisions by phone are not something that I will EVER make. I have learned to quickly and politely end a conversation and just as quickly block that number!
Same with emails - we become pros at fast-fingering the delete button!

isn't that also the nature of our business. We sell our service to sellers and get into their wallets. Just learn to say no.

I use the number blocking service on my phone and after doing that for several months I have it under control. These callers will continue as long as agents take the bite.

Before any wallet is involved (let alone opened) - folks at our company simply reach out and ask about specific challenges real estate pros are facing that they may need help with. Then we take it from there (i.e. - demonstrating ways we can/cannot assist you). If we're a good match - there still is no wallet involved (completely free test drive to find out if we are, indeed, a good fit). #WeKeepItReal - Tim

Because you are a realtor! Don't you know that word is out we are suckers & buy the most ridiculous things when it says 'get leads'.
If they call me, they are out. If I call them, maybe I'll listen but that has to be after I've done a seminar or have done my own homework.
Just had one where the guy kept saying but you can do this & that & my reply was I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT. So what do I need your product for.

Separating people from their money is THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN.
Agents however have the dubious distinction of "They will buy anything!"
"That will grow my business" is a qualifier you properly imposed. But since none of us have identical businesses, client types, contact lists or shred demographics, AND differ in what an agent is WILLING to do, the variety of TOOLS available are mind boggling.
From mindset coaching to door drops, separating people from their money is the only game in town that will pay the bills.
Be aware, some of what you see on AR that could be construed as solicitation is simply research.
