I believe there is great value and return in regularly staying in touch with your past clients. With homeowners in some areas moving on average every 3 years it is important to stay in front of them as much as possible. My suggestion is to be in touch every holiday and birthday that comes around. These individuals are pre-qualified, already own a product you are familiar with, and they have already made the decision to trust you as their agent. Retention is certainly a key to success in real estate sales. I am afraid it is all to often overlooked.

I have a bunch who stay in touch nearly monthly. I have one I meet with once a year to have a glass of wine and catch up. Another one calls once a year to catch up on kids and family.
