"canned" marketing materials are never a good idea, in my opinion..... thousands of others are using the same marketing piece.... your worse headache is if yours lands at the same time someone else's lands using the same newsletter.... you would be wise to create your own newsletter....give it the personal touch....

I use Happy Grasshopper and have for years. I used to mail a newsletter but stopped that years ago. I like Happy G because it is light and easy. The email goes out every 3 weeks. I can customize the message or write my own entirely. It works well for me and the cost is minimal for a "keep in touch" which generates a lot of engagement and referrals.

eEdge does this for me automatically. Writes it, sends it, and monitors who opens it and when.

I would use Mail Chimp templates and create your own. You can outsource ghostwriting.

Norma, if you haven't been using email newsletters, why do you want to start using them now? If you are learning something new, anyway, why not try a video newsletter/ connection?

We do our own newsletters. Nestor finds content that is highly relative to our market, he sends the content and scans newspaper clippings and sends those over to our va. She then creates the newsletters from the content. IT is all original and we quote the source. If it is very important we include the scanned image to add credibility.
We have this same va research and create newsletters for several realtors we do va work for.
I would never suggest to do canned newsletters of any kind.

I'm with Barbara Todaro ..I have an e-newsletter that I created as well as a monthly statical report. People are looking for originality and what you can offer them. In my opinion"canned" marketing materials are never a good idea..be authentic....spending some time to reach your target audience.

Hi Norma J. Elkins I just posted one of my own earlier today in my blog. I use one from my CRM, IXACT CONTACT that is populated with content automatically. A new one goes out every month. There is also a personal message which you can change... http://actvra.in/594w. There are also lead capture emails already populated with content... and lots more you can do with this program. Bomb Bomb video is also integrated into the program and you can record a short video to go along with your Newsletter.

Somehow I have gotten on several agents email newsletter lists and have not been impressed with any of them. I saw very little value in them but pretty sure that there are good ones out there somewhere.

There are SO MANY. Mail Chimp comes to mind.
My CRM, Wise Agent, publishes an editable, newsletter every month. Same is true for service providers such as Market Leader. I edit the Wise Agent newsletter and replace one of their section with a localized piece.
You may find it extremely beneficial to explore some of the CRM providers who offer a FREE version with limited service. Many place limits that are based on database size, not features.
Finally, there are a gazillion coaches who entice with a library of newsletters available for the clicking.
Big G is your friend. REAL ESTATE NEWSLETTER SERVICE: About 83,700,000 results (0.71 seconds)
That a lot of stuff to dig through. However, your answer is on page one.
NOTE: be aware, some of these BIG newsletter service providers have been identified as bulk mailers and have a much lower delivery rate because any one of the many ISP simply purge traffic from such sources.
Now do you really want to commit to 1990 technology?

.. when it comes to e-news I prefer Ixact Contact... they do an excellent job .. and I just customize it a bit to make it a little more personal ... it presents well... has a logical flow from one release to the next. I get very good feedback from my CRM... has been an excellent newsletter. I suppose if I was a gifted writer, and had the time... I would write if from scratch.. but this is working well for me.

I have used Constant Contact for years. If you put links into your newsletter, you can see who clicks thru, who opens the newsletter, who doesn't.

I just received two email "newsletters" from agents in different areas but both with the same franchise. Guess what, the content is identical down to the "app" they are pitching.
It would be better to create your own and use mail chimp or constant contact to send them and maybe even make a few print copies to mail to those who don't do email (there are still some).

Our CAR offers monthly newsletter that you can customize, but i'm a fan.... of premade mass emails. My broker now is using Mail Chimp. The only template I use are those in my CRM.
