When I run facebook ads, it automatically makes instagram ads.  I don't see instagram as being an effective lead acquisition system.  The demographics and the common usages just aren't there.  Allow me to direct you to the image below that explains the uses of social networks using a common tasty adult beverage.

I doubt it... I don't find social media the best place to generate leads... it's more about "street cred."

I have consistently posted listings and sales to Instagram for the past three years. While I believe it is a decent way to stay in touch with some friends and past customers, I did not receive nor do I expect any business from it. 

It is mostly other agents stalking me to see how great I am doing.  and Tbh I kinda like subtlety rubbing it in.

I have been using Instagram for many years, I have never gotten a lead from it.

Absolutely. I have gotten at least one listing in the past year (client said as much) from Instagram, and anytime that I am out and about I hear "I see your postings on Instagram". Always "top of mind", and where my potential clients are.

I also market my open houses/new listings on it, both boosted and non-boosted, and I have had more than one visitor indicate when they signed in that they saw it on Instagram.

Plus, I enjoy it quite a bit!

I use it some to be noticed but as reinforcement only.

It's not on my priority list, but i do plan on getting around to it when I get time.

No plans in 2018 to gear up for using INstagram.

In 2017 I evaluated Instagram vs Pinterest and the 'search engine' of Pintrest won the  battle.  2018 will involve MORE Pintest engagement.

I would think doing a short Video, something with a soundtrack, would work  on IG.

I am leveraging my instagram to market to clients in the DC Metro area.

Not me. My systems are bringing in the leads and they are good ones.

I haven't used this for marketing, in fact, I have an account but rarely log on. From your post it's obvious I could be missing stuff.

For whatever reason, Instagram is not on my radar.

Yes, IG is my favorite networks at the moment. I'd rather use IG than FB ads.

Yes, my team is already gearing up to utilize Instagram more often and effectively in 2018. Pinterest/YouTube will also see increased involvement from my posse! ;-)

Nope.  But, I have found Pinterest super helpful in driving traffic to my site...over 27,000 clicks/month now.
