I have my 4k UHD camera PHONE with stabilization mounted to a wheeled tripod. When I use it, it works wonders.

It's inevitable that I'll be purchasing one of them and it looks like the 80D will be the one!!

There are many people here on AR that do the vids. There used to be a photography group. I never wanted to do it so I never really paid attention. I'm sure if you 'googled' it within AR you might find something to help.

I use the 80D.
The 'auto' mode makes it a point and shoot and still utilizes the multiple focus points. The alternative modes makes those soft or blurred backgrounds easy. And it big enough to hold steady when the start/shutter button is actuated.
These videos (intro) and background stills all with 80D. Source files are 8 images, 1 video
As you will see, post is important.

Of course both cameras are made in China but the 80D makes me feel somewhat better regarding supporting communist regimes and government owned companies.

No help from me, Richard... I don't own any cameras outside of the one in my Galaxy 7... and I usually forget I have one in the phone! I find it easier and more economical to hire professionals and the results are much better.

I tend to find SLRs a little bulky. You might think about using a great phone camera and use the accessories available at HDHat.com. They also edit and voice over your tour.

I have wanted the Dji Osmo Mobile, so I could put my iPhone on it for video. I figure if I get the mobile it will improve every time I get a better phone. Go to the Apple Store and ask for a demonstration on the Osmo. I went to a class for REALTORs here and they did a video and demonstration at the class. Pretty cool.

Hi Richard, I use the Osmo Mobile with my cell phone. You really can get that smooth, floating, cinematic effect...but it takes practice. You may find this video useful:

Hi Richard,
I would not recommend using a non full frame sensor camera like the Canon 80D. The reason is that camera is a crop sensor and it makes it difficult to capture truly wide angle video footage which is super important when shooting interior video footage.
We have been using the DJI Osmo Pocket, the GoPro Hero 7 Black, the Matterport Pro II and a full frame Canon 5D Mark III to test out our own video home tours.
The challenge with the DJI line is that they really arent't wide angle and they have small sensors and they are terrible when shooting in low light.
The challenge with the Matterport is that you have to do a screen capture of the 3D tour and that can be awesome but takes a lot of extra effort.
The GoPro Hero 7 Black is amazing because it is easy to use, has image stabilization, ultra wide angle lens...but it isn't great in low light situations and a lot of interior real estate imaging is lower light.
The absolute best way we have found to capture listing videos is using a full frame Canon (we are using a 5D Mark 4) with a 11-24 mm wide angle lens and external lighting. The larger full frame sensor is SO much better in low light situations and the only real negative is the initial purchase price and file size of the video footage.
Hope this is helpful.
