I wonder if you restarted your comuter and then went back in and it appears. At least you would know that it was AR at fault if it is the same.

I hope you have it saved somewhere else, too, Mimi Foster .... I've never used their Draft mode.... wouldn't roll the dice!

Hi Mimi - I write my posts in GoogleDrive, then copy/paste to Draft where I save until I schedule and/or publish.   There have been some recent glitches.   I'm sorry you are experiencing this -- hope you can resolve it quickly.  

I haven't tried blogging for the past few days  but I know AR is having many tech issues.  You won't even get a reply back from support.  Sad, really sad.

I often use the Draft and Schedule features and haven't had any issues lately.  There have been a lot of technical issue complaints, though, so not sure what to tell you.  Always safer to keep a copy in another format too.

Yes, it's been going on for awhile now - write it and save it somewhere else, then try bringing it here, Mimi! I'm so sorry you lost an entire post - that STINKS - I've had it happen before too!

I have not exactly had this happen before - usually I start off with a Draft and Save it, and then go back to Edit written words, add pictures, or add more words.  I have never had the wording gone.  Though Mimi Foster  . . .  I have had the picture gone.  When I went back at 'another time', usually later that same day (or the next day), the picture appeared.  There have been times when I've 'inserted the picture twice', also.  Something must be funky with the pictures, though one time I Published a Blog, and did not see the inserted picture, so I wrote a few short sentences apologizing for it not showing up, and then again, at a later time, it did - HA!  That would be time consuming to have to remember and recreate all of your good words - I hope it all 'shows up'.

I save the HTML code in a text file....

I've had that happen. Might sound silly, but did you save after the last edit on draft. It always needs saving throughout... no autosave.

I only use the draft mode as  a temporary holding bin - once I have the post done, I  post it.

Works best for me that way

 "Draft" has been eating posts for about a year now.

You know, I have had that happen to me also Mimi Foster I never figured out why and it is rare that I use draft mode now.

A lot of crazy things happen in cyberspace.  A homeless saving was high jacked by a teller she bought a house with homeless money.....

Suggest you save it somewhere first.  back u back up back up

I've had problems before as well. I think I'll start writing in Pages and copy when its time.

I feel your pain - I lost a draft yesterday when my finger hit the wrong button and I popped over to some other place and when I came back - my post was GONE!

An AR Gremlin has been sneaking around it sounds like.  More serious I have used the draft mode in the past maybe 2 years ago and had no problems over 6-12 months in draft.

Mimi Foster - it should not happen! Now if it has happened, you can't-do anything!

I usually write on my local system and copy/paste it in.  Or if I write in AR, I do the reverse and paste it locally.

I use copy all~ paste often and click ''save'' too. Not sure why we have these glitches when our posts disappear. 

Hi Meems, I hear your frustration.    What makes this complaint different:  When Mimi Foster loses work-product, it's like losing a work of art!

Haven't had that happen in a long time, but I draft in Google Docs lately.

Holy Moly. This is why I save in notepad or word because I CANNOT TRUST THE PLATFORM.

I typically do drafts elsewhere, just in case - have seen mine disappear as well.

I have had some in draft for years that I basically use as templates. 

I dont put pictures until last due to photo issues. I put a title or even sample title and draft and save for a future date often. Every time you have to click the date and just pick a time knowing you can go back and change it. It is one way to keep from losing your work

If you absolutely prefer to write the post in AR, make sure to frequently copy your text and paste into MS Word or another word processor. It's a low-tech way of backing up in case your work in AR draft mode evaporates.

The blog editor seems to be the problem. Did you save your work along the way? As others have recommended, write in another mode and copy over. That way you will always have it.

Sorry to hear this, sometimes things like this happen, best to write them in Word first.

I have never had that happen Mimi and I save a lot of blog posts.

Sometimes I can retrieve things like this in my computer's history instead of AR's. It's worth looking into Mimi!

I had major problems with a blog a couple of days ago. Formatting would change without rhyme or reason.  Finally gave up and posted it with messy format. AR really needs to do a better job with this aspect of the platform, I feel like I am using software from the 1980's when I use AR's blogging platform. 

Just happened to me, too!!!

That has happened a few times lately, and better to write elsewhere and move into AR editor.

I had several draft posts this week an didn't lose anything.
