My first year in real estate, I had a productivity coach.  Unfortunately, it was not very beneficial to my business.  I later had another productivity coach that was a salaried employee of the broker, I was more receptive to the program because this coach seemed genuinely interested in my success.  I am about to start another coaching program this week.  I cant wait to see where this will take my business. 

The CORE is exceptional as far as I'm concerned - they turned my business around and expensive as they may be, it paid for itself for two full years by the end of the first semester with them!

I have no experience with a coach. 

When I joined KW I was automatically enrolled into the coaching program, I have two coaches and they have been very valuable..

I had a business coach and it was a good experience though quite expensive.

Neither good nor bad... just nothing that really "paid off" for the investment.

We were each other's coach, and it worked for us.  I think selection is very important when it comes to coaching.  I have seen both good and bad selection.  Like with everything else, what works for one person does not for another.  Know yourself and go from there, as it has to be a fit.  A

Sandy had a bad one with a well-known nationally acclaimed company locally based. She did not tell her anything she didn't already know and kept trying to upsell her.

I have not had any good experiences. To each their own. Some people feel they need a coach.  I do things that work for me. I have so many better things to spend my money on.  Good luck.

I've had good experiences being around MIKE Ferry back in the day.  My father who was a personal client of his (directly coached by him) and later became one of his coaches, had wonderful experiences and benefited from it.

Coaching in RE is like coaching at the gym or in sports, if you put in the time and do what they tell you to do, you'll reap the benefits.  If you sign up and do nothing, you won't have any positive results.

I had a business coach for a short time. She was very helpful in getting me to understand the blocks I was putting in my own way. The coaching helped increase business. I would like to sign up again. 

No, I've never used a real estate coach. I guess it makes sense if you are unable to build the business on your own or are looking for fast growth.

Take some time to understand each coach's approach and determine with which you are most comfortable. Only then does cost become a factor.

While some receive much value from having a coach, I have never felt the need.

I have been to several Buffini seminars, but never had a coach.  

In 2006 I paid $600 a month just to have a Tony Robbins coach yell at me on the phone as to why I didnt get something done that I was supposed to from the last call. Needless to say that didnt last too long. 

I tried different couches but still not sure who to choose. I do believe having an accountability supervisor for your business is valuable. 

Before you hire a coach make sure you are a good fit for the coach and the coach for you. 

Make the commitment. Without the commitment it is hard to reach your goals.

Choose a coach that is not working for a coach, in other words, get a coach who is actually doing the coaching unless you are buying a system. 

Make sure you are alligned with their methodoligies. If the coach is going to tell you to make 25 cold calls every morning and knock on 12 doors, is that something you will never ever do? If you are not going to do it, no coach is going to be able to pursuade you to do it. So don't hire a coach that you are not willing to follow their program. 

I hire coaches for all different aspects of business and even personal life. I totally believe in masterminds and accoutablility partners too.

No, but I have had mentors like Pat Zaby and Howard Britton that were positive.

Some people are coachable, others aren't.

Excellent experience with Mike Ferry 1 on 1 coaching back in 2004-2006.  The key coaches from that organization are now coaches at Keller Williams!

Some agents who's motivation is split commission showing the ropes. A few prefer to mentor others with respect not over $. You need to figure out the motivation as top agents are often too busy to spend time with rookies.
