real estate agents who are not trained, but they're running loose in the marketplace....

Lack of common courtesy - responding to calls, emails, texts, etc.

Creating a large net income.

The amount of time needed to remain successful in the business. Anyone who thinks this is a 40 hour a week proposition is more than likely kidding themselves.

Once again, I agree with John Meussner! And, it's a combination of attitude and lack of training/experience. 

I don't think I can narrow down on even one.  There are plenty of challenging parts. If we look at all the answers provided by our colleagues and sum them up! 

The parts we can not control. Appraisers and inspectors

The people and their poor communication skills

Not working normal hours with evening and weekends required

People.  We really see people under their veil. Sometimes it is real ugly.

That's a loaded question. 

Nothing that challenging.

After 27 years there have been a lot of answers I could have given at various times. I guess now it is the frustration of working with others who refuse to embrace change.

Dealing with ignoramouses

Dealing with the ups and downs of the market, which can be affected from local, national, and even international events.

    Government regulations.

The requirement to respond almost instantly. I have had prospects that will not wait 5 minutes for an answer. This is totally impractical for a busy agent.

Dealing with the back yard profesionals and professionals who are relatives.

It all depends on the day. Sometimes it can be other agents, lawyers or clients etc. 

Doing deals with non R agents.

Unprofessional or untrained agents.

It depends.

When doing a drive by inspecting a property, someone comes out stop your activity even on the road. They have been informed in writing someone will come unannounced. The don't read the letters. You tell them what you are doing they called the cops. This is a common inspection required by all lenders and insurance companies. Most home borrowers still think they own the home. The lenders, IRS do not think so.

Another challenge is you are greeted by a Mamaduke type dog when opened the door.
