Yes I do, serving the military it's a "thing".

It shows your support for the armed forces and it was also a very clever scheme Walmart started to probably sell an over shipment of green bulbs. However, we take it at face value and many do it here in San Diego, but less than you think...it never got a lot of publicity that lasted to keep getting the word out.

 

Back in the 1980's iit just meant we went to Spencer Gifts and bought some cool colored bulbs to make the house look trippy.

I would never have thought it had a good purpose. I live in a military town and have never seen that. Maybe the campaign did not catch on. At least I know it is a worthwhile cause and tribute.
