You'd think we'd have a lot more condos than we do, because we're a resort area. Of the ones we have, most of our condos have very high HOA dues relative to other gated communities--some that are a lot nicer. I usually refer them out when they approach me, and I can't even remember the last time that I sold one. So it's probably been at least 15 years.

My area is where 4 zip codes converge: 

University City/UTC & Sorrento Valley I sell more condo/townhomes given there are more attached than detached there.

La Jolla & Carmel Valley it's about 50/50 in sales due to a more 50/50 inventory.

I'm about 2/3 SFH and 1/3 condos/townhomes. We have a huge Uptown condo market here and I spend a good deal of time in that area...and love it too! I especially love the inspections! ;-)
