For me, it's one holiday where I don't need to visit the Hallmark store.

I am a father and a son everyday.

I wish my father was still here!

my father passed away at a very young age.. I was only 29 when it happened.... 

today, I'm thankful for the father of my children, grandchildren and great grandson....

Memories of my father.

Had a Dad that was a world war II B-24 tail gunner, was a single full time Dad of four kids. Father's Day is very special. So is Mother's Day. It is not, should not be just another day.

Time with my son, daughter-in-law and wife which is important to me!

The system we call and refer to as mom & dad which is how we came into the world should be respected at the minimum....

It was a day I treasured when my Dad was still alive.  

It means I miss my Dad.

Can't say I particularly pay a lot of attention personally to Father's Day.

It means my bride pampers me and my son remembers to call about 9Pm if I'm lucky.

My dad has passed but that is a day I still reflect and remember the years and memories and share stories with other family members.

Just that it's father's day and he decides what is done that day.

I will check out, and thank you for sharing, "RESILIENCE 11" Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041.  For me, Father's Day means remembering my Dad and Roger's Dad - what they looked like and sounded like, their impact on our families, and their unconditional love of us and of their country.  They both were memorable men that live on in my thoughts and in my mind.  I miss them both, and know that each of us has a part of our Dads in us. 

A great marketing idea that someone on Madison Ave came up with.  Maybe it was Don Draper.

Not much since my dad is living in a different country. My ex usually spends some time with kids( lunch or dinner), nothing fancy. 

It is a day to remember my father and to honor other fathers in my life.

Hmm my mother filled both mother and father roles for me. Makes me want to be a better father even thou my kids are now fathers and mothers. Fathers day at the beach with the family, relax for sure.

Call me cynical, but all these special days really are for merchants to promote stuff dads don't want. How do I know? Go to the post office the day after and you smell a lot of after shave stuff that is truly awful. They only wear it that one day to appease someone, and never wear it again. Thank heavens for the rest of us.

I love working with my boys and spoiling my hubby on Father's Day - he spoils us every other day of the year!

It's also filled with memories of childhood of my own amazing father and two wonderful grandfathers.

I suppose it means the same to me as Mother's Day.. a special day to take some extra time to express gratitude and love <3
