What's a vacation??!! 

We did in Costa Rica because we considered buying.

My brother lived in the Hamptons, and when I'd visit, I use to love seeing how high end homes were advertised.  Seems there is less in print now.  I guess the answer is Yes I do.

hell NO.... I'll be on the cape for the week of the 4th and I don't want to think about real estate.... I'll do minimal marketing every morning before the sun is up..... we'll be living on the beach....walk off the deck and you're in the sand .....

I don't seek them out but if I see a magazine I do usually grab it and look through it.-Kasey

Sure.  I'm curious about real estate in other areas.  

Absolutely!   Always interesting to know what is happening is other areas.

I do an internet search before I head out to a new location to see if there are any opportunities to check out.

Always!  It's great to see how other places do things and what homes go for.  I won't waste an agent's time showing property though.  I'll hit up an open house.

When on vacation, I always look to meet a fellow agent - see some properties. I'll even buy lunch. = tax write-off my vacation.

No....it's when I finally get to focus on me and not the biz.  By the time I go on vacation I am in the zone and out of the RE Zone.

Real estate is a jealous master, some say sport. So yes, you do find yourself studying signage, picking up property listing propaganda. Thinking that place back home would fetch (blank). Learning new ways to do what we do happens by study right? Getting off plane in Hawaii I remember seeing newspaper under the reach in and grab glass at the airport stating in bold big font "Maui average house price $375,000". Wonder what it is today?

I did do that in Ireland, but we stayed at an Inn in a neighborhood so I couldn't help but see for sale signs and flyers on our walks in Dingle. That's where I got the idea for Sale Agreed instead of Pending Signs. it's more a positive assumptive phrase. But typically no I don't, I don't do anything industry related.

(1) That presumes I take vacations! (2) When I am away from Charlotte, I don't pay a whole lot of attention.... I figure if I'm away it's for a personal reason and I focus on that.

Oh, yes! It's a passion and if I'm not living and breathing it, something is wrong!  LOL

I do not,, but my wife does.

I used to do that especially when I was writing advertising for the whole company or trying to get ideas for subdivisions names and street names. I rarely do that anymore or have that purpose and am not moving so don't need to check it out.

of course, I think it's just in my DNA. In fact my parents and kids come home with real estate magazines for me when they travel.

I don't look at magazines; however, I pay attention to for sale signs.

Just returning from Costa Rica, I was surfing with a Broker, we exchanged cards hoping to work on referrals. What do you think can I write that off on my taxes.

I can't go anywhere without turning it into a busman's holiday.

Yes, we do, and not because we are interested in a purchase, just because it's fun to do Silvia Dukes PA, Broker Associate, CRS, CIPS, SRES.  Alot of our Get-Away locations are very nice, and even if we didn't want to live there, it's still interesting to see what you get for your dollars!

Yes, there are times, and especially when I went to Costa Rica.  I wondered how the prices compared.   I think it is in our blood! 

I always look at real estate in other areas. I like to compare my market and I just enjoy looking at homes.

No. I do not. I do not take long vacations, but I dedicate myself fully to whatever I'm doing in that moment.
