No. It doesn't bother me and besides most people who post anonymously don't realize the minute they respond, their identity is revealed.

Reason: The question I answered about the intrusion detection sweep is a prime example of a question that needs to be able to be asked and not be tied back to an individual. As Bob Stewart said a few months back (paraphrased), the Anonymous feature exists for those agents who need to ask questions regarding a situation at work or with a transaction, where they don't want to be identified with it in case others from their office or transaction see the question. Using it for routine questions or student questions is against the terms of use and can and should be reported.

No. I think it has a specific purpose that perhaps is not always how it is used. There are times when maybe the issue is sensitive or maybe it is about switching brokerages and the person truly doesn't want people to know who it is or perhaps a question that they don't want members within the same market or brokerage to know they are asking.-Kasey

There are times when the anonymous function is useful. When we can't discuss in-process deals, but need insight, for example.

In case I need to ask, "Where does Scott Godzyk live?" revealing whose asking may be detrimental to the outcome.
"Is the CB employee business model fair to the agent' may not be the question a CB employee would want to be identified as the source.
Without a doubt, that Blue Man moniker is easy to spot. From there I am in complete control of what happens. Banning ANONYMOUS questions is to punish others for my ill conceived action. Do you follow that train of thought?

Who cares?
I read some of the strangest questions and dumbest answers from those that think they are "somebody big" in AR because they have been around and have lots of points.
An anonymous question is no different.

I agree it is of bad taste. Some really need his name out of site.
As for Utah schools they are too bashful to show they are still studying, I see one who has been posting more than 2 years as a perpetual student.

Yes - I think everyone should have an identity when participating. There are too many creeps and scams out there.

No. There is a legitimate reason for some questions to be asked anonymously. Although the majority(or so it seems) that are asked in this manner do not qualify, I'm not in favor of making "rules" that may have unintended consequences.

No- there are times with a really sensitive question that keeping the identity of the personal asking the question anonymous makes sense. I understand the annoyance of many of the anonymous questions, however. In many cases, they should not be anonymous.
5,104,931
No... I don't have a problem with anonymous questions at the appropriate time. The problem is that so many are asked that have no reason to be anonymous.
