In pockets of are market, new listings get swarmed, multiple offers, etc. Other parts are still "normal", where it takes weeks/months to sell.

Depends on the neighborhood, price range and the property itself. My listings often and over the years get multiple offers. I think now it just seems like some key neighborhoods and price ranges are getting more due to limited inventory...however inventory is now coming on the MLS and buyers don't seem to be hurrying to over pay...for now. Every day is a new day so we shall see.

From what I have seen and heard I would say it's about the same. Many properties, but not all, get multiple offers. Some homes are selling for asking or more, but on average about 2/3 are still seeing negotiations of 2 - 3% but it varies by community and price point

I have 39 active PreApproval files. They keep making offers, cash buyer or buyer willing to pay higher than list wins. In California Seller is king and asking new high prices. Market like 1988 in CA when insurance companies bumped rates to pay for the earthquake when the market was at historic high prices. Jobs in aerospace and defense went away (texas to oil jobs) then the market crashed in 1992. Different run up in 2004 then the crash of 2007/8 Single family listed near median sales price ($600000 to $ 700000) get nine offers first day if priced close to market. Higher priced homes also getting multiple offers. Condos in the $400000- $450000 get 10 offers

Within my market area there are pockets of intense activity where it can definitely be described as an extreme sellers market. There are others that while still active aren't seeing the same frenzy as in the recent past and then there are others that have cooled off considerably. Often it varies in a community by price point, by street and/or by neighborhood/complex. Even an architectural style can make a difference.
Even in the slowest of times(since I've been in real estate), multiple offers on the best priced and best presented properties always seem to occur. I'm assuming that's the case. In the past. Currently. And in the future too.

Not that I have seen in our niche of age-restricted communities. I can say that homes with up-dates and amazing mountain views do not stay on the Market long, and that being said, maybe at a different price point others might be getting multiple offers, I do not know Doug Dawes, just have not seen it personally.

Not really any more than over the last year or two. Certain price ranges and areas nearly every house gets multiple offers. Other price ranges and areas not as much. -Kasey

Some areas in my market have had this situation for three years now. Other areas, sell quickly but without a plethora of multiple offers. Too hard to generalize.

Below 300K, intentionally priced, will receive a LOT of offers.
Above 800K is not a seller market. These sellers can afford to wait for the inspired buyer. Stats reveal their wait pays off.
