That being said, and I'm not a realtor, but from what I understand I think IDX costs more than that + you have hosting.  Tammy and Tim can host for you or leave it at your current host.

BTW, IDX seems to be key for agents in both keeping people on site and attracting more traffic.  I've heard many issues on IDX from agents on here (as some of the cheaper ones break down and leave all sorts of 404 errors). That can cost you traffic and time and money later.  Just my 2 cents.

I'd like to note BUYER BEWARE here.  There are many well intending members here who recommend other members yet they have not ever used their services.  They recommend because they know the people do that work.  I've been bitten by such referrals.  So, be smart. Ask a lot of questions.  If someone is referring and they have never used the services of those they are referring ... beware!!!!

I recommend IDX Broker Platinum. By far, it is one of the very best IDX platforms available. I tie it to a virtual-results WP website. My husband provides all the content and it is a responsive website so it works on all platforms. 

My suggestion is to look at many real estate websites before you decide on one for yourself. Which site do you want to search? Remember that your clients have a choice. I searched Malibu California real estate and found a local website that I fell in love with designed by virtual results. That is how I found VR.

They designed a website for the "masses" based on this custom design. VR is a real estate design website company run by people who work in our industry. My theme is called "Limelight". 

You've gotten great recommendations, including those in the Rain who provide that service, Dante Lee - Nestor & Katerina Gasset & Tammy Emineth.  I personally use Genesis WP theme and can add the IDX provider of my choice - I'm not restricted to one particular IDX with the Genesis framework.

But first, you need to figure out what the goal of your website is. Who do you want to attract? Who is your avatar? 

Do you want to work with buyers or sellers. They each have a different objective and different emotions. 

What kind of a niche are you in? 

Are you going to want leads that find you online to visit your website or are you strictly going to be driving off line traffic through direct mail , etc to your site? 

All of those questions are ones you need to ask yourself before even deciding on a theme, a hosting company, or IDX integration.
