I do it all the time. Go into source code, <> right click, 'select all' and copy.Then reduce that page. Go back into active rain and 'write a new blog'. Open up the source code and paste it in.

I draft in Word, then copy and paste to AR almost every post. Open a fresh post, paste it in. You'll have to upload any photos not already in your gallery.

So, you should be able to copy the old post and drop it into a new draft.

Then delete your old post after you-re-post the new one. It should be that simple, it's how I post 95% of my blog's material.

Hmm.  You've received several good answers.  I have no problem copying text from an older post and then pasting into a new blank edit box so I can modify it. 

Sometimes switching browsers will work. other times, i just open my email like I'm writing a new message, and paste it there. then open AR and email side by side, and I can drag it over.

As Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor, CRS said, I drop it into Pages (Word on a Mac) and then put it in ActiveRain.  You'll want to change the title or delete the old post if it's outdated.

I would copy and paste into Word or Google Docs (sometimes formatting gets goofy when pasting from Word in AR), edit, then paste in AR editor with a new title. I C and P all the time

Paula - I would think you should be able to do this, but may have to tweak the title so AR doesn't think it is the same post. I have read that others are having some issues with posting things, so it may just be AR.

You may have to have a new slightly new title. Copy the code <> by right clicking and copying then paste into a new post. Easy peasy.

I've never experienced a problem with doing this but it looks like Candice A. Donofrio has answered you in depth

Go into the html Select all the Text and CTRL- C then go to your new post go into the html and CTRL V

Paula Hathaway, REALTOR, Sr. LBA, you should be able to click on the little html button, copy everything in the box that pops up, and then open a new blog post and click on the html button and paste it into there. Once you save it, you'll see the blog post and can edit the new one.

I am afraid I can't help you with the answer to this looks like you have plenty though

Copy the HTML into Notepad, not Word.  Paste it from there.

Also, you may need to type some characters like abcdef onto the blank page first, then paste over those characters.

I have no issues copying and pasting. Make sure you change the title of the post. 

I haven't had a problem with copying and pasting in AR. I like Jeff Pearl's suggestion.

I've never had an issue pasting.  I do it all the time.

Have you tried (PC) to highlight the text and hit CTRL-C and then open up a new blank post and press CTRL-V?

Every once in awhile the keys will not work so you have to do it manually by doing the cntrl v.  I thought it was just me!  I usually right click from the mouse.

I do not know if google will like it.

I copy the html code over to the new post, then do my editing.
