Fred, Z getting into brokerage business would a) be counter to everything they've ever said about NOT setting up brokerages and b) the death of any advertising fees from agents that didn't belong to their brand.  It's no different than here in the Rain, Ben knows he can't show favoritism to KW or all the non-KW agents would begin checking out.

Zillow is too smart to do bricks and mortar real estate. There is no money in it.

I do not believe that is in the cards but they did have a corporate 'pow wow' which I saw on FB. Like I was supposed to be impressed.

No... I don't work "for" anyone... I hang my license with RE/MAX by choice, but as a full broker and being already incorporated I could totally go off on my own.

I know plenty of good people who do work for Zillow.  I couldnt see myself working for them but for some folks it is a good solution.

Anyone who is paying Zillow for leads is already working for them... they take are data repackage and then sell it back to us at a markup... clearly the NAR and local MLS are not working for us either

What an interesting question. I never would have thought of it. If Zillow came out with a brick and mortar and an attractive commission split, I don't see how it would be any different than belonging to any other brokerage and then, I might consider it. It would have to make sense for me to move.

Nope!  Their business direction and mine are moving toward opposite places.

I do use them for marketing, but I don't like them.
