Why don't you start on what you feel is important for your generation to know about. How about what marketing options works in this day and age?

Camille,
In general I dislike the groupings society has come up with. Gen X, Gen Y/Millenials and now there is even a new one for kids(?) younger than Millenials.
With that said, I'd like something from a "Jane Goodall"/"Spock at at Ren Faire" perspective. Basically a social study on how the "social network connected/addicted human" functions on a day-to-day basis. A study in their habits and behaviours and how best to reach them. I've heard many studies that claim the millenial is less likely to buy a house (funds, mobility, etc.) and then I've heard conflicting reports. Maybe something on those lines too, from your perspective and those around you. Sadly that topic would best be localized as your neck of the woods is likely more affordable than mine (six figure income needed for most of my area).
Apparently I'm on the dividing line between Gen X and Millenials, so this should be interesting to see the differences.

I am a big believer that when we write with passion about topics we are well informed and knowledgeable of ... those who need to find our posts will find them. Might I also suggest that you likely already know what the general needs of real estate and real estate related professionals are. Just start sharing what you know.

Well, I think, there is no marketing topic left that was not covered by members multiple times.... But we always open to new insights. I'd like to become more efficient in my social networking.

It looks like perhaps you edited your question as some of the comments mention age group and millenial but I don't see that in the question any longer. If that was your original question and that is what you want to write about, go for it. Write about being a millenial as a consumer - expectations of services, needs, wants & desires, what turns you on to a product or service, what turns you away from a product or service, best practices to gain your business, etc. Like others have said, write what you know. I'll read it!

Camille, you are doing EXACTLY what you should be doing.
Observe the questions, identify the tunnel vision, and write your blog from your perspective, using your voice, have a LOT of fun, and stay your course.
A great disconnect exits between the average 56 year old real estate professional and the 30 something home owner and buyer. When I say GREAT DISCONNECT it do not exaggerate. The only ones who do not see it is the 56 something real estate professional.
Stay your message on those who can understand and take no measure of those who will not. It is you, your generation, the values you embrace and will bring with you, that hope of change exists.
It is my hope you do not choose to perpetuate the old school but choose to bring in a new song of liberating hope from which change will emerge.
So, to be more specific, share with us your feeling, that of your peers regarding the top three of Maslow's needs hierarchy.
Those being:
Cognitive stimulation
Harmony and order
Self-confidence, actualized, accomplished
IN our terminology it is the 5, 6 and 7 which we who have been forever in the business understand. IN your world it is the search for the lock not the key.
Do not write for us what we want, but do write for us what you see, feel, hear and fear. Be vulnerable, genuine and courageous.
Courage is the resistance to conforming.
Are you up to the task?
Here is a little ditty I just published. It makes everyone but the subject group scratch their head. "I need a new perspective"

Camille Latham, why don't you write about why the millennials are different - what are their expectations and what makes them a disruptive purchasing group as you commented on Lyn Sims' comment?
I think that would be interesting!

Can't you be a 'milennial' & just write? Why disclose your age group? Very puzzling way to go about things.
