Most important, upon our first sit-down meeting, do I mesh with that Broker, and does that Broker mesh with me?

Hi Trinity, I answered on the other duplicate question, but then I saw your responses and it looks like most people answered the questions as though you were an agent looking for a brokerage (we get that question here often) rather than you are a brokerage polling to see what agents want. If I were looking for a boutique brokerage at this point in my career I would be looking for a broker and agents that I respected, got along with and felt like I could have a camraderie with, with the ability to be seen as an equal and a fairly negotiated split. When I was a newer broker I would have been looking for a broker I could trust, someone that would be available to me when I had a plethora of questions and who may provide leads. I would have been less concerned with the split if I was being assisted in the lead generating and coaching/mentoring. I think a good question would be what kind of agents do you want in your boutique brokerage and that will help determine what you will offer as a brokerage. Good luck! Trinity Gregor

When you walk into a small real estate office and all you see are 125 or so licenses hanging on the wall, turn around and leave. As a new agent you will need a lot more support than this office can provide ....

What does the office have to offer me? What kind of support is available? What kind of education or training is offered?

Good Mentoring to start with, they need to help train you instead of just taking your money.

It really depends on what you are looking for in a brokerage. Training, mentoring, team, commission split, etc.

The ability to provide mentoring and training, and a style that fits with you. Culture of the brokerage may be particularly important to you as well.
