I hope they are able to safely lower the water level before it gets to the breaking point.

I have not heard anything new ... the rain is really taking its toll. We either don't get enough or we get is all at once. 

I seeing what everyone else is seeing on the news. I hope people will heed the authorities warnings.

I lived in Marysville as a child and toured the Oroville Dam several times. I hope they get it under control!

I saw this on the news.  I hope they get it fixed.

I hope area residents heed the warnings and leave the area. I just hope they can get this situation fixed before it blows.

I find it interesting that Ca. wants to secede from the country but they still want money from the feds

I also find it interesting they can spend millions on protection for illegal aliens but maintenance of their infrastructure is too expensive?

Oh, this is so scary - I just pray that everyone obeys the evacuation orders and stays safe.  

   This Florida native will "ride out" a hurricane.  I've done it before and will do it again.  But a 770-foot dam that is about to crack?  I am getting out of there immediately.

   May God bless and protect the people affected.  This could become an epic disaster.

My aunt lives (or lived) in Oroville. I haven't spoken to her since before she went to prison & haven't spoken to her since she was released. I suppose they are ok, because her daughter called my other aunt asking for money.

I heard about it this morning but just got in office. I sure hope that dam holds and those folks can go back home.

Amazing how much rain we got here in SoCal this winter. Who ever expected that....I hope, the dam will be repaired on time, so no one will loose their homes.

I haven't heard anything yet.  I have a friend who got deployed up there last night with a swiftwater unit.

John DL Arendsen The last I heard is they are lowering the water lever so they can repair it. They also are telling residents below the dam to leave. They are talking about over 180,000 people. Let's hope they come up with a fix.

I visited the Oroville dam this past Summer. Praying for all the residents who live nearby. Hope a solution emerges before this weekend's upcoming storm.

I find that the real news sites, fake news sites, main stream media sites etc., and wire service sites to be the best sources of information for this type of issue.  Local sources are likely to have detailed coverage as well.
