When I have gotten contest points, they just show up on my points page. I see that Ryan Huggins - Thousand Oaks, CA gets an email, so I wonder if there is a setting for that.

You will see the points and in some instances be individually notified. It takes time after the conclusion of a contest for points to be awarded. It is a lot of work for the sponsor!
