I have not used PA, and I've heard from others it's a waste of money. But I don't know, as I haven't tried.

One of our clients bought Smart Zip, and the data was valuable based on the strategy he had in his marketplace,   After that initial report, he did not continue with it...It is quite expensive, and personally I think these predictive analytics are not something you could not figure out on your own.  Of course, it would mean getting out there and talking to people and doing some research instead of paying this type of company a lot of money.

My analytics are simple.  If my phone is ringing then what I am doing is working.  If my phone stop ringing then I look at what I am doing and make necessary changes to get my phone to ring again. 

We've been getting mail from another local agent for over a year now, trying to sign up for updates, etc.  There is a lot of money being spent.  We may fit the mold but not only are we not even thinking about selling, we wouldn't use this agent. 

In my past life in corporate America, one of my jobs was to use propensity analysis to decide where to put a major new product. We took all sorts of data points such as household income, education, and the like, and came up with estimates of what % of a particular population would be likely to purchase our product. The results though were of course dependent upon the accuracy, timeliness and thoroughness of the underlying data. And there were many things those models couldn't determine. For example, an area of 50K people with an average income below "average" didn't identify that 30K of those people were way below minimum wage for certain cultural reasons and would NEVER buy the product but the other 20K were highly likely to purchase the product. The propensity model output indicated that on the basis of the statistics only, we should not to invest in the area at all. We wound up losing a great opportunity for sales.

I'm all for using data to make decisions, but wouldn't purchase a service that is predicting anything. There are too many factors that could get in the way of making accurate predictions.

I have not used their services.  I did attend a webinar where they explained what they did and found that I could get the same info myself for free from my favorite title reps and the local paper/craigslist/nextdoor/etc.

No ....never.... I've not needed it.... 

There is also a 3rd one that no one would invest/partner with me on. I think they are intriguing & have found NO ONE that gave them a go.

Reason I needed a partner like a LO was your minimum mailout was like 20,000.  Normally I do not do that large of a mailing only specific farm areas.

Couldn't get anyone to help me with the costs.

Again, I thought it was a great idea & would love to give it a go.
