I think personal brand is a beautiful thing, and absolutely vital if you run your business like....your business!

We're not our employer (or franchise, or broker) --- we are on our own.  We should operate that way, and a personal brand is a part of that.

Re: the "worth it?" question, it absolutely is.  It takes minimal time & cost to put together a brand.

I am with Michael Setunsky on this. Brand the agent  - that is who people, for the most part, hire.

Hell yes!  There is a reason RE/MAX has a brand.  Brand yourself (even if it's just your name).  A brand is more than the name, it's what you embody and how you do things.

In Oregon, all agents must show their name, title and the name of their brokerage in all advertising.  However, there is totally room for personal branding which I think is great in making an agent stand out from the crowd.

Anything that make your name memorable will work. If you are able to create your whole branding( logo, colors, etc. etc.) , go for it.

"....for your real estate site....."

NO!

For your business, perhaps.

The brand should easily align with the solutions, outcomes, results or benefits your real estate business provides. Pick one and ride that horse across the finish line.

1.  We brand ourselves with every single interaction, everywhere, always.  The trick is to make it conscious and have it serve your goals.

2.  The others are right.  The brand should transcend one thing (e.g. website) and be useful for everything you do.  Then you have flexibility.

Yes, you should be branding yourself. Not all agents need a logo.  Whether you need a logo or not depends on who your niche target market is, what is your messaging, are you using your broker's brand or yours, etc.

Outside of the logo question though, brand your name. Brand your name with your target niche audience. This is a really lengthy topic to answer in a Q & A.
