Briefly describe what is meant when one refers to a home being "roughed" inside.....VERY BRIEF DESCRIPTION..... anyone who lists and/or sells new homes should be familiar with this description

Rough means the inspector can see the plumbing joints, the electric lines, vents and they will be able to sign off and move to next stage of construction. If something is wrong, rip 'em out

Caroline got it! I would also add that sometimes we 'rough in' heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical for the buyers to later finish a room - typically the bonus room.
