In the footer there is a link for contests.  I think in column 3.

You'll post a link to your contest blog into the comments section of the blog that announces the contest

For example, if you go to the pay it forward contest here -> http://activerain.com/blogsview/4971948/third-annual-pay-it-forward-activerain-challenge-for-november

You'll see in the comments section how people have entered by commenting with their links.  

This isn't ALWAYS how to enter, but more often than not it is.

Nothing has changed other than the list is now in a link at the bottom of the page.

If you go to Groups - then ActiveRain contests you'll see the list of current contests.

Go to the bottom of the page, any page, and where it says "EXPLORE ACTIVERAIN" you'll find Contests toward the end of that column.

Are you asking if you have to put in your post of entry that "this is an entry to a contest"  Sometimes you do, but generally no.  And the "contests" for the month can always be found at that link.  The instructions for how to enter are typically in the post announcing the contest.  Feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email if you have specific questions about entry and I hope you'll participate.

Take the title of your entry blog and submit it to the contest you are entering. you can reference what others have done on the contest you are entering also Lynnea Miller

Contests are great way to gain exposure in ActiveRain.  It looks as if you have been provided with some great answers that should help you in identifying where to find contests and how to link your posts.   Good luck.
