I believe the T stand for tear as in tear sheets being ripped off the printer (back in the day of the rolled thermal paper for printers) long before single page printing on copy paper.

I figured it was tear sheets...that's what they called ads and proofs for print advertising......newspaper...magazines... ect... we used to use them for local MLS before we had computer MLS...

I have never heard this expression. I began my real estate career in NYC where there was no mls and no printouts. By the time I landed in Charlotte, our mls was on-line.
