It sure is. There is no perfect choice but there certainly is one that is worse than the other, The short term affects are lack of consumer confidence and higher interest rates. In lay terms, people stop buyin things, In the long term the massive increase in health costs on top of the massive increases we have already seen. If people think it is high now, just wait if they put government run health care in place.
