Yes, but was it the recent one or a previous edition?  I actually opted out of the phone book drop somehow.

Yes, I believe there will always be a need for some old tech.  I had to use a fax machine this year because KW needed my tax info and they couldn't figure out an encrypted zip.

I think that the phone book thing really needs to stop and be on demand, such waste of natural resources.

Maps... yes, I have seen some folks using them in 2016!  And I ahve a fax number but not sure why!

I keep telephone books as I still use them for a variety of purposes.

Pen and paper!!!  I still use my yellow pages a lot.  For me it is faster.

I got one of those, too!  And the amazing thing?  It was really skinny!

We still keep phone books and use them. It's actually faster than looking up a business or person on the internet. We also still use fax machines, as do a large % of title attorneys, doctors, CPAs, lenders,  etc. Old technology- pagers.

The times they are a changin and wasting all those trees to make Phone Books that just get tossed make no sense ... I mean cents at all.

But there are so many other uses...sub as a step ladder, fun for my cats, my mom used to use as a car seat when she was learning to drive, so she could see out the window better.

Though I never look in my neighbors garbage or recycling bins I do notice how many companies still waste the money on a fax line, and posting unread adds in the shopper that nobody reads anymore.

Funny you should mention the phonebook.  I was just talking to someone yesterday about how the phonebook is such a waste.  It never makes it through my front door except to go straight to the recycle bin

I recycle mine every year. 

If it wasn't for governmental issues my fax machine would've disappeared a decade ago. I am pretty sure some departments still use Windows 3.1.
