Personally, that would not even get on my radar...

Years ago when I made my first comment on AR, I made what too many considered a grave mistake...I posted my name and contact info. 

I got blasted so bad by the watchdogs that I wondered if I should really pay a monthly fee to belong to such a bitchy group.

Blogging is marketing to anyone that chooses to read it.

I have no problem with this - even agents might be interested in looking at inventory and likewise, visitors may be interested in an article for agents

There have been agents that were my customer and I too have been a customer to other agents. Can I assume this was a link that needed to be opened first? If so, I have no problem wih it.

I use the same "closing" for most of my blogs and didnt really think it was a bother to have to remove it. I did just recently shorten my closing by half the size. Some day i will find a way to put it in graphics

I think some agents have a signature like that on all of their blogs.

If I am reading this will not bother me one way or another. I stop for the topic and read if I find interesting and don't judge it by the last statement.

You never know when an agent will want to check out your search prior to sending a referral. I never mind a link to their site being available on every post.

I keep my eyes on my own posts.   

Lots of it on AR.   I keep it in the signature block, but others choose to make it a tagline in the body of the blog.

I write my blog posts for the consumer

I write for customers, agents, techies and more - I always have various links in and after my posts so it doesn't bother me that others do the same

I let others worry about the impact of their blogs.

Some of that happens because of the automated signature or footer. But ideally we would correct it and adapt to our content market.

Interesting point and one that I never really noticed!  Like you, my signature is what it is but, the end of a post for agents is definitely not a 'ya wanna buy a house!'  I never thought to add that to an peer post!

I do pay attention to this. I also mainly write for the potential buyers and sellers out there searching the internet. 

I write to share ideas and beliefs as well as to educate and inform.  Each posting has a different purpose and does each question or answer.

Well, you can write about your business focus addressing your clients. They want to know your priorities:  who you are, how you treat your business and your clients, what are your values, how active you are in your communities, how you treat other agents and vendors, etc. 

Paying better attention certainly is key for all of us to practice.

The agent probably included as part of the default footer that appears on every post.

My signature block is one thing, but within the post itself I change it around depending on the topic and audience. But I don't do a search for homes here ending in a post written for AR members.

I see a lot of things done that I would not do for various reasons.  The biggest one for me is the negative impact on SEO.  

Does not 'who we write for' depend of if one is a RAINER or a RainMaker?
