Revitalized?, unfortunately this far too often involves politicians laying down the heavy hand on property owners, trying to force them to do something that they cannot afford to do, often resulting in loss of property and a new city works project.

Vista, California is definitely a Diamond In The Rough in the North San Diego area. The downtown area is fast becoming gentrified and restored to its original state with lots of very good places to eat and imbibe. 

Lot's of old worn out properties being demolished and rebuilt while the outlying areas are fast becoming rejuvenated and refurbished.

But the really good news is that Vista is considered in the "Banana Belt" and a coastal community albeit about 6 miles from the ocean the way a crow flies and property values are still very attainable for most folks living in or moving to the area.

So let this serve as an official announcement that Vista is open for Biz and I am here to help those who wish to live and raise their children in a little chunk of paradise.

we don't have any of those areas that need revitalization....we have a fix and flip now and then that surfaces.... we're a small town of 33,000 peeps.

There is always potential in different areas.  It needs to be researched and analyzed, and if we had one, I would not divulge it.  I would likne up investors and go after it. A

We have a area that is Wash Park and it is a area that people pop the tops and close to downtown.

I have two areas in mind right away. It could easily be brought back to normal standards by a community awareness and how to work together with law enforcement to prevent future crimes. We recently started a community FB page where residents become more aware of what is happening in their neighborhood and how to be on the lookout for the perpetrators. Next month, we are having a city wide meeting just to discuss how changes can be made to these specific neighborhoods. 

  The local Government here is throwing money at Midtown, Gaines Street Corridor, Bradfordville, Park and Magnolia...  there will not be enough customers to shop at all the stores and eat at all the restaurants.  Way too much growth for the sake of growth.

I don't think there's any area that could really use this.  All cities have bad parts.  I've seen some streets where just about every house is neglected.

At some level that is happening all over San Jose and surrounding cities. I cannot think of one specific area. 

I'm thinking the town I live in ... Lockport, IL ... is on the verge of that happening, S. Leanne Paynter ☼ Broward County, FL ...

Lockport has typically been thought of as an older, blue-collar town because of the oil factories on its borders.  But with its proximity to new interstates, major highway connections, Chicago, and popular Chicagoland suburbs ...  it's taking on a new, fresh persona.  

New construction, new homes, and new businesses are springing-up everywhere in and around Lockport now that the economy has healed some.  Many older homes are being updated and remodeled.  Lockport's high school is now receiving the attention and accolades it deserves.   All good signs ... pointing to a change in how Lockport's future is perceived ... and positive, healthy growth ...

I am hearing that there will be a shift to the mid-west and already states like Wyoming are seeing some big increases in population. As more and more people are able to work from home, people may migrate away from hevaily populated areas.

Properties to the north of me as they are still reasonably priced but not for long.

Here in SoCal I don't think there are many more treasures to be discovered, but some areas could be (and are being) revitalized and pushed to their potential.

In Dallas that would be the Fair Park area.

There are many opportunities in my area --- and I'm sure that exists in most places --- eyes wide open, ears too.
