Yes, then again I'm from Detroit so living dangerously is in my blood.  I am a trust freak and live by faith.  I remember when many people didn't want to use online programs in fear that others would steal their information or it would get lost.  No me!  I have never, ever kept a backup file.  Life is good!

I never use public wifi - I am just fine with my iPhone and run my iPad off that

I use their wi-fi.  But, I will never open any program that involves my bank acct or CC's there.  I also don't open my email there.

For business...my personal hotspot.

For AR...FREE wi-fi. The more public exposure, the better for business? LOL

Our hot spot does fine for us. and regrettably most hotel wi-fis contrary to what one thinks are too week to do any damage.  We have tested this at many hotels especially on the high end...In order to get the high end version, you have to pay extra...videos cannot be seen in high res at the finest of hotels.  LOL  A

Never use an open wifi from a hotel or anywhere else.   I have a hotspot on my phone and a good data plan with unlimited data.

100% depends on what I am doing.  If I'm popping on facebook to post a photo I'm good with the wifi.  If I'm emailing a work related document I use my personal hotspot.

If you do use the hotel's free wi-fi, it's a good idea to use a security app like Avast SafeZone.

     We stayed in a hotel two nights last week, during the power outage following the hurricane.  Regrettably, I had canceled my AT&T WiFi hotspot recently, because I wasn't getting much use out of it.   So, I used the hotel wireless (I did NOT do any online banking).

I avoid public wifi whenever possible, unless it suits my needs and on a system designed for it.  For my phone, everything is encrypted by default (thanks Google!), so I'm good there.

I have a home in Mexico and travel there often so I use my data plan when there. When traveling abroad I use the hotel wi fi.

Debbie Reynolds I agree with Ron and Alexandra Seigel . I gave a presentation to a group using the hotel wi-fi and was barely able to turn the slides. Very weak signal from their conference room.

I never use FREE WIFI unless it's at my home or that of a friend/work partner where I still need their password. That's such an easy target for hacking, in hotels, convention centers, coffee shops, etc. I use my Verizon Jet Pack.

I've noticed that it's so slow, why bother? Sometimes when out of state your hotspot might not work as some companies are better regionally with service.
