Yes, I'm involved with two:
1. Bold Listings is an offer platform that provides transparency once an offer is submitted, it's a game changer.
2. Screened Renters has helped me do for my landlords in 10 minutes which used to take hours or days with instant applications, credit reports, background checks for legal & evictions and having them all on a Cloud.
This old dog stays young with new tricks. I love that these companies call on me to beta test.

there are NOW so many different start up companies to assist real estate agents with leads; gaining SEO; and a laundry list of other needs.... I never participate in any of them except for what Nestor & Katerina Gasset (Katerina) offers.... if it's from Katerina, it's not a "fly by night" venture....it's a healthy, long lasting investment that will give you a return of more than you would ever expect.... just saying

Some solve problems, some are a distraction, and many drain the bank account.

So many start-ups these days. That is a good thing in some ways as far as the market goes, but not so good for agents.. who are all competing for the same leads.
First there was Tiger Leads, then Market Leader, then Boomtown and Commissions inc., all selling leads and follow up systems. The problem is that it makes it appear these companies are getting you fresh leads but that is not the case.
Just because a new lead company starts, that does not create more buyers. There are x # of buyers. So all those companies are placing PPC ads for those same buyers. The agents who are doing their own PPC are getting priced out of the market unless they go long tail, which is of course, a great move.
But to think that somehow you will get new leads the other companies don't get is simply not the case.
I would like to see a new start up that gives an option to GotoWebinar who can actually offer something better. They really have a corner on the market yet so undeserving.

I'm surprised that Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers didn't respond with "Parked and Reading" because that's what I am doing.

I believe there are far too many of them that claim to solve problems or a better way to manage business or generate leads.

There will always be startups as long as agents keep spending marketing dollars.

I think that the one of the most important problems of the real estate market is lack of transparency. There is a property rental service Rentberry that trying to solve this problem. Tenants are welcome to offer price that they think is reasonable for certain property. Thus, such system helps landlord to rent at the true market value. Tenants, in their turn, can see what price others offer for the same property.
Blind bidding already exists on the real estate market. I think Rentberry is trying to make it more fair and transparent.

I don't jump at startup companies. I want a track record and proven results.

Start-ups are the other American dream... to own a business. So many make promises but offer few guarantees.

Reading this question and then seeing Mike Hubert's response, it looks like this is a clever ad for rentberry. I'll be flagging this as spam and I highly suggest everyone else does too.
