I have worked with a REIT company that owned the majority of the buildings on a street in Beverly Hills.  They do look for buildings to buy that fit their criteria.  In this instance, they were acquiring medical buildings in various neighborhoods in Los Angeles.  They are publicly traded.  A

Working with a buyer who is purchasing property in an investment trust rather than an individual or couple's name(s). Nothing different except the name in which the Deed is written for us.

They are not unless they have a securities license or have a property listed that is bought by one of the holding companies. They also use agents to sell the properties.

You can form them, sell to them or manage them.

REITs are REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUSTS; anyone can invest in them.

They may be involved in purchase, sale and/or rental transactions.

They really are not

REITS have never been a part of my real estate business.

I have not been involved with REIT's ever.

I avoid them.
