I hope so! More people need to learn how hard our work is. Statistically 91% of those FSBO's will reintroduce themselves to Realtor's services in less than 30 days!

Have not heard of that site, it is just as the one in our area Homeowners.com
They do not offer much support and I have looked at properties on these sites usually stay on the market longer and offering less services and support to the homeowners. With time, they will go away.

I was going to say I doubt it, but I'm liking Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor's answer better.

Michael J. Perry There have been several real estate FSBO over the years. Help You Sell comes to mind. They are no longer around. Historically, these programs fade away.

Never heard of them. There is no shortage of "new" companies, promotions or ideas that promise fsbo everything but fall short when the hard truth is that they are not there for the seller through each step of the selling process. Often the easy step is finding a buyer/ The hard part is getting it to close.

Michael - This is not the first time this has been tried. If sellers want to sell their home for less than its true value then they can use this type of service, but I don't see it changing the industry.

I love when FSBO's start marketing their home - doesn't take long for them to figure out they shouldn't be doing it

Perhaps, for a while anyway, and if the listing is on the mls, then they will likely at least be paying a buyers agent commission.

I see it as a niche market. The folks I've worked with over the years value what I bring to the table and had no issues paying for the service.

Michael,
Some people love shopping at the .99 cents store, and some do not. As they say, there is tusch for every seat. A

The last advice to give a Seller, is to suggest that they pay an absurdly low commission to the Selling Agent. See their website for the amount they suggest.
Michael J. Perry They are also mis-using the trademark name "Realtor" by putting it in lower case letters.

Micheal,
I would suggest continuing your survey, perhaps use SurveyMonkey, include a selection that allows you to identify the age group of the responder.
We repeatedly see comments suggesting a more informed public but somehow believe a more informed public will not be enabled to take action more beneficial to their goals.
Do your survey and take action based on what the data reveals.

When it comes to big tickets items, I want to work with a professional. My point? I am not alone here

If it does it would just more homes over priced and wondering why they are not selling.
