It means nothing. It is just a name.  Part of branding. As you already know, many claim to be [fill in the blank] in their marketing ... and it's only words ... many times not delivered in actions and service.

I would not use it.  

I have seen it on some company names -- they rarely are.

Probably overused by now and fairly meaningless. But it can't hurt.

It's a marketing ploy, just like top agent.  I'm the top producing agent in all of Ventura County!  (fine print: for my company.  finer print: I'm the only agent).  Could also say I'm the highest producing agent nation-wide (or even internationally).  Guess what, we only have one office.

Add elite if you like.  I don't think it adds any performance requirements.  No one will challenge, but you should try to live up to it.

Not to be glib but elitist.

There is a 'Realty Executives' company here in our area, but that is the actual name of their company, as opposed to calling themselves realty executives.  I have seen ELITE added to a Team name though it didn't 'impress me' either way.  I've even seen realtors that work in the Luxury market here just use their regular realty company name without adding another descriptive word.  Of course this is just me, though if you are into 'status' it might impress you as a client Wanda Kubat-Nerdin, I don't know  . . .   

ELITE ..... another in a long line of puffery by real estate companies and agents.

However, if you want REAL benefit consider ACME or AAAA Real Estate.

With those the advantage is obvious.

NOTE: There is benefit in having a name that starts with the first letter in the alphabet like Annette.

Overused and means nothing.  We used it 12 years ago for a client whose marketing was amazing...it was truly elite...Now every large franchise has a franchisee with that word in it, from Keller Williams to Re-Max!

I think any of those types of words are gross.  Put your last name on it and go on your reputation.  If you have to describe your service in your team name it's simply GROSS.  Kubat-Nerdin Team sounds cool to me.  

I would not...if you have to tell people  you are ELITE, you probably aren't.

Lofty word "elite" is....I have seen many fancy, cute names all good too. In the end, can whoever you are score?

The same thing of think of with travel softball teams who call themselves elite.... "well don't you think you're special".  ;)   Maybe they are but....

Don't get me wrong, the name is important, but it will likely not be enough to impress your client. 

Wanda, I'm always hesitant to do things like that, but I don't see a thing wrong with it if it's true. I just found out I'm in the top 5% of all agents in my market. There are 19 ahead of me out of 449. I had thought about using that data in my marketing, but here again, I hesitate. It's just me. The old saying is, "If you can do it, it's not bragging."

It's a name - we have a brokerage called "Top Producers" they're not but the name says they are.
