YES!

To share the knowledge one author imparts on their audience, by promoting that great blog, to a wider audience, to mine and my connections. Also because it creates an achieve for myself as I like to re-read the good ones.

Yes.  A really good blog now appears on MY stream.  Others see it there; I may get some SEO out of it.  It's also more prominent and easy to find than Bookmarks.

1. It makes others happy when I share their post, for the points they recieve, the exposure they recieve, and the compliment.
2. And they are generally enjoyed by my readers too.

I like to write my own. Reblog may be someone worth reviewing.....

We have on limited occasions, but only meaningful posts, and we did receive thanks from Activerainers who missed the original post.

Yes, I do. It helps be to interact with other members and build relationships.

I do reblog, usually a couple of weeks after the first post comes out - especially if it's been featured.  There's so much good stuff on ActiveRain, and it's so easy to miss an important post.  That's why I think reblogs are important.

I prefer often re-blog to bookmarking and some blog posts are too good not to pass them on.

It is considered a big compliment to be reblogged and it gives you a little extra boost in points and SEO.

I occasionally reblog, but only when it is an exceptional blog that needs to be heard.

If the blog has important information, I like to get it out there again for others to read.

I started doing it again a few months back as I think that the powers that be want us to re-blog since they are awarding points for it.

I have started reblogging regularly.  If I see a good message worth sharing, I love the ability to reblog.  Why should I try to find a new way to say something that has already been said so well?  I like sharing the knowledge and experience of others... and giving them due credit.  

If it unique or a beneficial to my reader I will reblog.

I rarely reblog but there are many here who do a great job of either playing it forward or highlighting a post that may not have received enough attention.

I do, but rarely.  For me I have to find a blog I really like and want to share out.

Benefits (in no particular order):

• The points for you and the content author.
• Exposure of the topic beyond those that initially saw it.
• The ability for the reposter to add in commentary and give their take/view/experience on the topic.

Michael, I do re-blog. Sometimes, somebody writes something that is just to good not to share.

I reblog a lot of folks posts that I really like, appreciate and feel will benefit other members. I also really appreciate it when someone believes enough in what I've contrubuted to take the time to reblog it. It's all part of the networking game is it not?

The theory is that it "spreads the word"...the practice often is..."it gains the points"...wonder how much reblogging would be done without points awarded...hmmm
