Used to a lot in my teens & 20's, but I married a girl who thinks that wilderness camping is lunch at the San Diego Zoo on the way to Horton Plaza for shopping. Favorite spot was camping at Avenue of The Giants in Northern California.

The last wilderness camping I did was in 1991.  I remember it well because I said "this is the last time you're catching me camping!" 

We were up in LaRonge in northern Saskatchewan.  It was July and might as well have been December! The fishing however, was spectacular and was the trips saving grace   

I could be tricked into "Glamping" in Africa though!

Its been a while since I have done it for recreation, I enjoy a good canoe trip with wilderness camping along the way.

In the past year we did spend many months camped out in the wilderness for various forest appraisal projects in Mn, WI, MI, and NY.

      Wilderness is the only way to go.  I do not like to stay in a "campground" with dozens of tourists, RV's etc.

I only go where there is room service.

I've done plenty of "car" camping - i.e., drive to a campsite and set the tent up. I like tent camping but prefer to have running water. I can do without most other things but have to have an occasional shower.

I've not done wilderness camping but have done "car" camping when we lived in Ca. along the Angeles Crest.

In Fl it's a bit too humid for me to go camping

Just got back from 2 weeks of backpacking. I go camping as often as possible.

No, not unless there would be indoor plumbing in the tent...cabin....hotel....lol!

No wilderness camping for me.  I prefer camper/RV in a campground. I can hike into the wilderness and enjoy it but want to sleep with all the comforts of home.

Love to but it's been a while.   My husband and I keep talking about doing it soon but "soon" hasn't gotten here yet.

Wilderness camping is easy to find in Canada, we only have to drive 3 hours or so.  That's not bad.  I adore it, though I haven't had the means to do it in many years.  In the bush or on the water in a canoe.

I am very surprised to see the overwhelming majority of those who don't like it. Didn't expect that, but on the other hand, creature comforts can be, well, comforting, lol.

I grew up camping with Girl Scouts and my family.

We still camp at Cook Forest, PA but expect flush toilets & hot showers.  My brother & his wife are coming from Texas and will rent cabin with Dave & I.  Other family members from far & near will have RV, pop-ups or good old-fashion tents.

Hi Robert.  My wife says she's love to go as long as the wilderness is a hotel with room service!  

I would like to, but Florida and California are too populated and wilderness campgrounds are tough to find. Plus, weekends are always busy for me!

No camping for me either way. Just not my thing. Holiday Inn, Red Roof Inn, etc. are the only camping I will do. LOL

Wilderness camping, along with some component of physical ability, requires the participant to create their own entertainment. To recognize the marvelous world they share with billions of others and to celebrate its glory and mediate on the importance of it all.

Too many lack the ability to entertain themselves and certainly want to avoid thinking on the important things that should bind us together as a species if survival is the goal.

So, I go to Epcot to be entertained and see the world.

Not for a very long time.

My neighbor just went RV and all...I wonder if that is really camping out?

Visiting a Holiday Inn is as close to camping as I ever want to get....

When i was younger yes, but not any longer. Ill take the comfort

With the boat this year probably not as much or unless I do an item on my bucket list.

I don't do it much anymore but will always prefer backpack and visqueen over the KOA.

I don't do well in a tent.  But I could sort of get into the RV thing.

We lived in a motor home for almost 20 years when I was on the Art circuit.  Before then, we did have camping gear for the shows.  No camping for me now.

We use to go often. Kids are grown and they prefer to visit resort type locations.  It's been a while since we camped out like that. 

I don't go camping at all as I prefer a hotel and tehir conveniences and don't like mosquitoes and sweating.

Hi Robert - The only way I'll go camping is to pack it all in - I'm looking for peace and seculsion, and that's ahrd to find at most organized campsites.

My idea of roughing it is a hotel that does not put a mint on my pillow and does not have turn down service!

Robert! My idea of camping is a 5-star hotel... camped once with the Girl Scouts back around 1960 or 1961 and have never repeated the experience.
