It's an interesting question and I think that this is a solution that was looking for a problem. Then again, let's not forget this is the administration that tells us global warming is are biggest security risk.

And that 1 person is most likely already using the bathroom they want without any notice or fanfare. The problem is the access it gives to those with evil intentions. As a parent I fear for my daughter and do stand outside bathrooms with her knowing to scream bloody murder. When i have my nephews, i can at least go in with them. Now what about locker rooms where they undress and dress? I coach softball and over the weekend i was listening to the girls who said they would wear shorts under their close, a couple whe changed in stalls and 1 who said she wold change in a closet. The kids are aware and scared. THE REAL PROBLEM may be while the government is distrcting you with bathroom talk, what are they doing now that they are distracting you from? Lastly ask Target stock holders how their policy is working with 1.2 million shoppers boycotting has their stock free falling.  

Our country has so many important issues that need attention and our elected government feels this is our nation's top priority ???

I agree, "PC runamuck" and I believe that there will be incidences that will occur because it opens the door, literally, to those who would seek to use the law to their advantage, and not necessarily those who are transgender. Are we all supposed to ignore seeing a man walk into a women's bathroom now?

According to the US Census in 2011 the amount of transgender were 0.3% of the US POPULATION!  Estimates put the group at as much as 0.5% of the US population now.

So yes, all this insanity for less than half of a percent of the populace.

If you look at some of these open bathroom laws, two of the biggest ones have been written and championed by convicted pedophiles.

This is just some false flag event to take our attention away from the larger more important issues facing our country.

For an issue involving less than .5% of the population, it sure is taking up a lot of headline space

This should not be an issue the DOJ involves themselves with. Rather, get through all the Hillary email allegations. It is a supreme waste of taxpayers money.

I think transgender people have been using the bathroom of their choice for years and years.  Not an issue as far as I'm concerned.

I knew a lovely lady many years ago who was born a man.  She was one of the nicest, most thoughtful and funny persons I have known.  I had no idea until someone told me in the strictest of confidence.  It was something that was only whispered to those who had no problem with it.  As I look at this issue, it is just more drama to which the media keeps fanning the flames, and distracts us from what is important in life.  A

Can't speak for everyone else but around here there will be problems.  I wonder how the politicians will feel when a male enteres the bathroom where their wives or daughters are?  I suspect this will make it to the Supreme Court in short order

When I spend time in Russia I heard repeatedly from my hosts, "We are all citizens of the Earth. We all want the same thing. It is our governments that keep us apart and make us enemies."

Lacking a big enemy to fear, our government has, by their actions, over the years made USA citizens enemies of each other. Our government is what is driving us apart. What a shame.

It's so interesting to read peoples comments. Here in NC the news and reports make us seem like we are crazy for not legalizing it. We've been made to believe the whole country is against us. Entertainers canceling concerts, etc. Yet, I have yet to speak to one person who actually agrees with the law. 

Young people have no problem with whatever sex the kids want to be today. It is us older people that are all tied up about it. It doesn't bother me if a man wants to come use the ladies restroom. I am in my own private stall and not paying attention to the other users. And in the future I will not be checking out to see if the user is a real man or real woman.

I can tell you this: you probably know a transgender person but don't realize it. YOU CAN'T TELL with many of them. Here's my opinion:
Men's, Ladies', Unisex.
If you look like you belong in one, fine.
If you don't, Unisex.
WHY DO WE INVENT PROBLEMS? Do that many people need a freakin' hobby?

Don't get me started. What about the rights of the masses. I think the solution should be restroom access for  F, M and O. They have family restroom for handicap and families. T can use family assigned restroom or the government  should just build restrooms just for T.

I think people are already using the bathroom of their choice, though I would worry about adults in with children of the opposite sex.  Adults with adults I'm fine with, just not with children, because someone will use this as a way to hurt or harm children, is my personal concern Dennis Swartz. 

I met a transgender person.... a man who was in the process of becoming a woman....that person had forearms that were the size of my thighs.... how does one deal with that?? even after genitals have been "adjusted"...there are other factors... when I first saw this person, my first thoughts were that she was a very large woman who looked very masculine.... and I guess I was right!!!  I think this woman would get some curious looks in the ladies room!!  it wouldn't bother me.... but the tongue lashing I'd be giving to those who were rude might not go over well with some!!

In my area we were the 1st ones to have a problem with this & if the district didn't do something they would loose all federal help. There is now a 3rd area for them to change for gym.
